The chief data scientist of HireVue, Linsey Zuloaga, emphasized how AI can expedite the hiring process by automating repetitive duties and enhancing candidate interactions.
Additionally, according to the report, 64% of candidates think AI is just as fair as or more fair than human recruiters, and 49% think AI can eliminate hiring bias.
Yet 75% of applicants are against AI making the final employment decisions.
In order to promote confidence, Zuloaga emphasized the value of open communication and advised HR departments to make it obvious how AI is employed in the hiring process.
Workday's Rich Bye observed that when the advantages of AI become clear—like higher productivity and dependability in applicant screening—attitudes toward technology tend to get better.
But according to the poll, 33% of HR professionals have used AI without official authority, and 42% of HR professionals are waiting for corporate guidelines on generative AI. Before implementing any prospective AI solutions, HR directors should make sure they adhere to ethical and legal standards, as stated by Zuloaga.
